Question:

It is not possible to reset the bootstrap password in the TIBCO Spotfire Server configuration tool.

Answer:

In the TIBCO Spotfire Server configuration tool you need to enter a password to open an existing bootstrap file, there is no password recovery option for the bootstrap file. If you do not have access to the bootstrap password you will have to re-create the bootstrap. You can create a new bootstrap file by clicking cancel when you start the configuration tool and it is asking for the bootstrap password, then click on "Create a new bootstrap file" and enter your credentials for the data base and set a new bootstrap password.
