ELN freezes when opening MS Office Excel sections in E-Notebook 12


This issue can happen in Windows 10 and MS Office 365 when the resolution of the screen does not match the application:

  1. Modify the display settings of the PC:
    1. Right click on your desktop and select 'Display Settings'
    2. In the Scale and Layout section select '100%'
  2. Modify the compatibility settings of the application:
    1. Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0
    2. Search for the ENContainer.exe
    3. In the results right click on the ENContainer.exe and select ‘Properties’
    4. Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab
    5. Click on the check box to activate ‘Override high DPI scaling behavior’ and set it to ‘Application’
    6. Click 'Apply'
  3. Reboot PC
