Currently, you can submit ideas to the Ideas portal for the following Revvity products: Signal Notebook, Signals Inventa, ChemOffice Professional, Lead Discovery, and Signals VitroVivo.

How do I browse the ideas in the portal?

Ideas for products like ChemOffice Professional and Signals Notebook fall into categories. You can browse through the entered ideas by category using the left side menu. These categories are regularly updated and expanded. So, as more ideas are received for different categories, more categories will be available. You can also directly search for an idea or an idea topic using the text search on the top right side of the portal.

How do I submit an idea?

To submit an idea, click the Add a new idea button at the top of the left navigation menu. You will be prompted to select the product that pertains to your idea. Following that selection, you will be able to provide your idea details. Upon completion, simply click the Share idea button.
Please only include one idea per submission.

What should I include in my Idea submission?

Your Idea submission should answer the following basic questions:

  • Where is the issue you’re encountering/idea you have for the product?
  • Why do you want this new feature?
    • When you are writing your idea, it’s important to focus on the “Why” of your request. We on the product team are focused on understanding the issue you want to solve. Understanding the issue is key to finding an appropriate resolution even if it looks a looks a little different from the solution you propose.
    • To address the Why of your request consider:
      • Why do you want this feature?
      • What problem are you trying to solve?
      • How will this be used?
  • What new feature do you think will improve your SNB user experience?

What if my idea already exists?

If you are browsing the ideas in the portal and see an idea similar to the one you wish to enter, vote for it. Voting for ideas is critical to getting the idea on the product roadmap because product uses the vote count of ideas to establish priority. We also encourage you to comment on ideas you like with some details about your use case. This helps us to get a broader understanding of our customers’ needs when we are developing a feature.

If you happen to enter a duplicate idea, it will be marked with the status “Already exists” and will have a comment with a link to the tracked idea. We encourage you to go vote for the tracked idea as duplicate ideas don’t count as votes and so they do not contribute to increasing the idea’s priority.

How do I vote for an idea?

Your input isn't limited to the submission of ideas. We encourage you to voice your support for other user's ideas. If you view another user's idea that you feel should be added to the product roadmap, you can let us know by voting for it. To cast a vote, click on the gray vote counter to the left of the idea. The vote count will increase by 1 and the border will turn green to indicate you have voted for that idea. To remove your vote, simply click on the counter again.

Why should I vote for ideas?

Voting for ideas is critical to getting the idea on the product roadmap because product uses the vote count of ideas to establish customer priority. The ideas with the most votes are regularly reviewed and placed on the product roadmap. If you want to see an idea in the product, you should vote for it.

How do I comment on ideas?

If you want to add a comment to another user's idea, click on the idea from the list to open it. Below the idea, enter your comments into the Comments field and click the Post comment button.

How are my comments used? Is anyone reading them?

Comments are a critical part of our idea definition process with Product and necessary for discourse between customers. Product will ask directly for clarification on the details on an idea using comments. You can also comment on ideas in the portal that you like but would use a different way to what is proposed in the idea.
